Share your thoughts – Community Survey, Chief of Police Recruitment - Royer Thompson

Share your thoughts – Community Survey, Chief of Police Recruitment

Royer Thompson has been engaged to support the recruitment and onboarding of the Halifax Regional Municipality’s future Chief of Police. An essential part of our initial work has involved engaging with a broad array of stakeholders, community groups, and members connected to the position regarding the preferred leadership qualities, attributes, and experience sought in the future leader and as a tool to support the Search Committee in defining the ideal candidate profile.

Numerous stakeholder interviews and focus groups have been completed, with valuable findings identified to inform next steps in the consultation process, which involves an anonymous online survey for residents to share their thoughts regarding the preferred leadership qualities, attributes, and experience sought in the future Chief of Police.

Given the diversity of perspectives in the community, we want to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure everyone’s voice is heard.

We encourage you to participate and share the survey link and QR Code with community members, family, friends and colleagues. The survey will close at 11:59 pm on April 25th, 2024.

Please access the anonymous online survey through the following survey link or QR Code:

Should you have any questions regarding the survey, or should you or someone you know require an accommodation to participate in the survey process, please contact Dominique Roche at droche@royer.digitalswan.com

Thank you for your consideration and support.
